Absolute Batman #20 gets a full-on nightmare treatment from acclaimed artist Lucio Parrillo on this exclusive variant, limited to just 3,000 copies.

Parrillo abandons the traditional superhero portrait for something that feels pulled straight from a psychological horror film: a sharply dressed, fedora-wearing Absolute Scarecrow with button eyes, a grotesquely stitched mouth, weathered skin, and a burning cigarette, all rendered in Parrillo’s richly painted style.

The muted browns, blacks, and sickly gold lighting give the cover an old-school noir atmosphere—but the disturbing facial details turn that noir aesthetic into pure Batman horror. It’s dark, unsettling, and wonderfully strange.
